Finance and Stadiums were the leading problems of African football.
Broadcasting issues have usurped the two recently as fans have always been in limbo concerning watching African games on their screens.

Ahead of the 2023 AFCON in Ivory Coast, sub-saharan Africa had no clue regarding where they were going to enjoy the competition on their screens from.

On the eve of the big kick off, SuperSport revealed their agreement with CAF for the coverage of the competition. It was all smiles when the news reached all the corners SuperSport are subscribed.

CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup have been off our screens for a while and it’s set to return via SuperSport.

CAF president Motsepe disclosed, “The exponential growth and global competitiveness of football in Africa has resulted in substantial interest from major African and international broadcasters in African Football.

“SuperSport, SABC & Azam Media have been participating competitively in the CAF Media Rights bids,” Motsepe added.

“CAF welcomes them all as partners, joining a number of CAF’s Media Rights holders. We are committed to ensuring that CAF’s Competitions including its Broadcast products are world class”.

A very competitive market is all that CAF needs in terms of Broadcasting rights concerning African club football.

A quality coverage is expected from SABC, SuperSport, Azam TV amd Bein Sports among many other media houses in the 2024-25 season.
