The Constitutional Review Committee has formally presented its summarised report to President John Dramani Mahama.
Following the presentation, the report has been handed over to the Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, as well as the President’s Legal Counsel, for detailed study. The government is expected to subsequently make its position on the committee’s recommendations public.
President Mahama also announced that an Implementation Committee will be established at the beginning of next year to commence work on executing the approved recommendations.
In the interest of transparency and public participation, the President has directed that the report be made available to the general public for review.
