Eight Regional Associations across Ghana have received Nissan Navarra pickups from the Ghana Football Association to improve the domestic game. Football administrators continue to suffer in Ghana, and the GFA, led by Kurt Okraku, has handed Nissan Pickups to the various Regional Football Associations across the country.
The 8 regions are as follows:
Brong Ahafo Regional FA
Upper West Regional FA
Central Regional FA
Western Regional FA
Eastern Regional FA
Upper East Regional FA
Volta Regional FA
The GFA officially wrote on their website;
The move is part of GFA’s broader vision to decentralise football development and empower regional bodies with the tools they need to function effectively.
The Greater Accra Regional FA and Northern Regional FA are also slated to receive their vehicles as part of a subsequent FIFA Forward program.
President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, who has been championing infrastructural and logistical upgrades across all levels of Ghana football, expressed confidence that the vehicles would boost efficiency and accessibility in the regions.
The Ghana Football Association has assured us that it will satisfy the other regions that did not get theirs sooner rather than later.
