Ghana FA Cup round 64 draw: Asante Kotoko lands Kwamo Future Stars

Joel Bonsu, the General Manager of Future Stars has promised a victory for the struggling club when they lock horns against the Porcupine Warriors.

“Whether Obuasi or Kumasi, we will put them to the sword”, JOBONS confidently said after the draw.

“Easy draw”, he promised Future Stars fans.

The 2024-25 season is well underway, and the two clubs have had their terrible moments so far.

Asante Kotoko is 5th on the Ghana Premier League log after 10 games, having lost the last three games.

Kwamo Future Stars have so far lost four games and won two in their opening six games of the season in the Access Bank Divison One Zone Two. The club sits in 12th position, just two places above the relegation zone in the 16-team zone.

The Ashanti derby promises to be a cagey affair as the Kwamo-based club faces Asante Kotoko for the first time in a competitive fixture, having played a few games with all being friendly.

Asante Kotoko wrote on X, “We’ve been paired with Division One side Future Stars FC for the round-64 stage of the FA CUP.

The game will be played between 29th November to December second.
