The first round of the Ghana Premier League is left with a game before it ends.

Proper competition has been witnessed. Wonderful performances from Heart of Lions and Bechem United have been witnessed.

Also, the sacking of coaches has been a huge part of what has transpired thus far. Many clubs have parted ways with their coaches.

Defending champions Samartex, newly promoted side Young Apostles, Aduana Stars, Legon Cities and Medeama have all sacked their coaches.

Karela United have struggled since the commencement of the season, with many fans predicting head coach Jimmy James Corbblah as the next to be sacked.

The club has officially confirmed the departure of the coach and his assistant coach, Abukari Damba due to poor performances.

Karela United has won just 3 in the 16 games played. Results have been very poor for the club, with the hierarchy acting in a bid to avoid relegation.

Jimmy Corbblah leaves the club lying in 16th position. Karela travels to fellow strugglers Nsoatreman in week 17 of the GPL on 19th January in a potential relegation six-pointer fixture.
