Betpawa decided to not renew their deal as the headline sponsor of the Ghana Premeier L eague in the middle of the 2023-24 season.

Ghanaians, were worried regarding how the league was going to survive without headline sponsor.

In a very refreshing news emanating from GFA EXCO Member, Randy Abbey, the two parties are in negotiations and are on the verge of reaching an agreement for renewal for a year.

“It’s a partnership that was signed for one year; both parties expressed interest in renewing, and we have made significant progress,” Randy told Joy Sports.

“We are almost done with negotiations, and I’m sure that in the next few days, both parties will announce the details. We are renewing for another year.”

It really sounds so great for the Ghana Premier League after getting broadcasting deal with Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) and headline sponsorship deal with Betpawa withing two weeks.

GPL is set to commence on 6th September as teams are fully charged for action.
