Week One of the Ghana Premier League ended on Sunday evening with Bashir Hayford’s Heart of Lions winning 1-0 against Dreams. Ebenezer Abban’s 26th-minute strike made the difference.

At the Wenchi Town Park, goals in either half from Emmanuel Owusu and Paul were enough for Medeama to secure a 2-0 win.

Vision FC and Samartex played a goalless draw, where both sides will be satisfied with the results, especially the away side, Samartex SC.

Newly promoted side Eleven Wonders drew goalless at Basake Holy Stars.

Karela United recorded a slim 1-0 win over Aduana Stars. Malik Aboubakar’s first-minute goal was enough for the home side to win all three points.

Nations FC came back from a goal down to secure a wonderful 2-1 win over Sweduru All Blacks. The Abrankese-based club went down to Kweku Baffoe’s first-half strike at the DR Kwame Ktei Sports Complex.

In the second half, Tetteh equalised in the 55th minute. Emmanuel Annor snatched the winner on the stroke of full-time to help the club commence the new season on a higher note.
