Preview

Sweduru All Blacks Hearts of Oak

Hearts of Oks will make a trip to Sweduru to face the All Blacks. Phobia was beaten 1-0 by fierce rivals Asante Kotoko in the Super Clash. A return to winning ways is all that the fans of the club are expecting. Mas-Ud Didi Dramani’s side must shake off the defeat in the Super Clash and concentrate fully on the All Blacks of Sweduru. All Blacks, on the other hand, have secured just two wins in the season and are just one point above the relegation zone. All seven points they have snatched so far are from home games, having beaten Berekum Chelsea and Holy Stars and drawing with Heart of Lions. They are poised to avoid defeat against Hearst of Oak.

Bechem United v Sweduru All Blacks

Bechem United will be looking forward to securing a second win of the season after a poor start to the season. With five defeats in nine games, Bechem United must start picking up points, especially with a new coach at the helm. Smartex have lost just one game in the season, with four wins and a draw recorded apiece. The Samraboi-based club sits in sixth place on the table with three points behind leaders Aduana Stars.

Asante Kotoko v Aduana Stars

Aduana Stars will travel to Oseikrom to face the Porcupine Warriors. The Ogya Boys’ four-game winning run was halted last week with Medeama drawing goalless at the Nana Agyeman Badu II Park in Dormaa-Ahenkro. Asante Kotoko have secured two successive wins at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium against Gold Stars and Karela, and will expect to make it three straight wins against Aduana Stars. Fixtures between these two teams are always competitive, and Sunday’s clash will not be an exception.

Holy Stars v Vision

Holy Stars recorded their first win of the season last week when they surprisingly defeated the defending champions Bibiani Gold Stars by 2-0. The victory gave veteran head coach Evans Adotey some time to continue his role as the head coach of the struggling club. They will be looking forward to securing their second win against Vision at home, where they intend to rely on to survive. Vision has been a good side at home, but struggles in away games. Visions 2-0 win against Accra Lions in week 1 of the 2024-25 season remains their only away success since qualifying for the league last season.

Bibiani Gold Star v Karela

Gold Star in Bibiani will entertain Karela United. The Miners have won all four home games this season and will expect to make it five over five. In-form Samuel Atta Kumi has scored seven goals in nine games and is expected to return to doing what he knows best against Karela after failing to score in his last two games. Karela United, under Nurudeen Amadu, have become a good side and cannot be underrated by any side. The 4-2 defeat in Kumasi was followed by a disappointing 1-1 draw at home against Dreams FC. Karela shocking won 1-0 at Dun’s Park last season, which nearly cost the Miners the title. Will they take revenge?

Berekum Chelsea v Nations FC

Frimpong Mnaso got his Nations FC reign underway with a 1-1 draw against Hohoe United. Expectations are high on Manso after he turned Gold Stars into winners from strugglers. Nations FC’s hierarchy expects the former Bofoakwa Tano boss to bring them back to where they belong and must at least secure a point against the unimpressive Chelsea. Berekum Chelsea have not hit any good form in the entire 2025, and pressure is still mounting on head coach Samuel Boadu. A win over Nations will calm things down for Chelsea.

Dreams FC v Hohoe United

Hohoe United will travel to Dreams in such of a first win in five. Since the back-to-back wins over Karela United, and Sweduru All Blacks have amassed just two points in eight. Dreams FC will move higher up the table with a victory at home over Hohoe United. The visitors are two points ahead of the Still Believe, and a cagey affair is expected.

Eleven Wonders v Medeama

Medeama SC drew goalless at Aduana and will be buoyed by that result, travelling to the beleaguered Wonders. Eleven Wonders’ pains continue, and they must start picking up points if they indeed mean business. With no wins in the season, Eleven Wonders’ troubles seem not to stop anytime soon. Medeam, on the other hand, can move to the top of the table with a win.
