Kenpong Soccer Academy was founded by Kennedy Agyepong in a bid to unearth talents.

In February 2024, the club opened its doors for young footballers who wanted to join the academy located in Winneba.

A new manager, Mark Hansen, was in later part of July appointed to lead the club. The Norwegian has commenced his reign and he has urged Ghanaian leaders to construct better pitches for football across the country.

“The Ghanaian leaders should step up and build good pitches, because without good pitches, you can’t develop Players,” said Mark Hansen.

Issues of poor pitches have not been addressed in Ghana as the last time the nation saw world class pitches was way back in 2008 when it hosted AFCON.

The biggest issue Ghana has been facing in football is poor pitches. Ghana has refused to address the most basic thing in football and it continues to embarrass the nation.
