A 26‑year‑old Ghanaian national, Jeff Kofi Asare, is facing serious charges in Oklahoma City after being arrested three times within a span of 12 days over separate allegations of assault against women.

His latest arrest has led to a first‑degree rape charge following an incident on the Lake Hefner Trail, where police say he attacked a woman before nearby firefighters intervened.

Reports indicate that Asare’s troubles began on August 1, 2026, when two women accused him of sexual attacks near Northwest 23rd Street and Classen Boulevard.

One victim alleged that he shoved her against a bus stop window and groped her, while another claimed he pulled down her pants before fleeing.

Police arrested him on charges of sexual battery and indecent exposure, but he was released shortly afterwards.

Five days later, another woman reported being assaulted near Scissortail Park, stating that Asare grabbed her repeatedly. He was arrested again for sexual battery but was later freed.

Six days after that second arrest, authorities say Asare struck once more, this time on the Lake Hefner Trail.

He allegedly pushed a woman to the ground and attempted to rape her before being stopped by firefighters.

He was taken into custody and is now being held at the Oklahoma County Jail with bond set at $75,000, though prosecutors are seeking a higher amount due to the repeated offences.

The District Attorney’s Office is reviewing at least three separate cases against him and considering additional charges.

Media reports further reveal that Asare has been arrested more than 20 times in Oklahoma County since 2022, with several of those cases ending in convictions.
