A young Ghanaian woman has shared her ordeal in online betting after losing a whooping GHC70,000 to the deadly game.

The 36-year-old, whose name was withheld in an interview with ZionFelix, explained what led to her becoming addicted to betting and how she lost all her savings to Aviator.

“I was introduced to the game by a former schoolmate I met at the West Hills Mall. Since then, I estimate that I have lost over ₵70,000 to the game.

“My addiction became so severe that it affected my ability to eat and focus on work.

“In a desperate attempt to recover my losses, I sold my drinking spot, including all the beverages, for GHS 40,000 and also took out loans, all of which were lost through betting,” she said.

Betting addiction is one of the biggest problems young people are facing now in Ghana. Many Ghanaians have shared many experiences about how they have lost millions of cedis through online betting.
