A Nigerian man, thought to be in his late 30s, has been taken into custody for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl at Nkwatanan Teachers City in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.

The girl, who is training to be a seamstress, was walking home with her younger sister when the suspect pulled her into a nearby bush.

He covered her mouth and forced himself on her while threatening her with a knife.

The victim’s sister managed to run away and get help from some motorbike riders nearby, but by the time they returned, the suspect had already escaped.
