League leaders Bibiani Gold Stars dropped points after a 1-1 draw at Karela United. Faisal Gariba’s own goal in the 73rd minute appeared to have given the away side all three points, but Abdul Karim restored parity in the 88th minute via a penalty kick for Karela United.

Dreams FC, through Joseph Esso’s 10th-minute penalty, went ahead against Nsoatreman in Nsoatre. Collins Kudjoe’s second-half strike helped Nsoatreman secure a point.

Red hot Heart of Lions snatched an important 1-0 away win at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena in Samraboi. Nana Oppong’s fourth-minute strike made the difference as it sent them to the top of the table, surprisingly.

Vision withstood Medeama’s second-half threat and won 3-2 against the Tarkwa-based club. Vision took a commanding 2-0 lead in the first half through Rhule and Duku’s goals. Emmanuel Cudjoe was shown a red card in the 55th minute for Medeama, compounding their woes. Frank Duku missed a penalty to extend Vision FC’s lead. Edmund Asante was given his marching orders in the 66th minute to make it 10 men each. Nebojsa Kpor’s charges charged and scored through Bernadinho Tetteh and Micheal Sarpong in the 67th and 83rd minute respectively. Unfortunately, Medeama’s late effort went in vain as Baffour Kyei scored in the 100th minute to help newly promoted side Vision beat Medeama SC 3-2 in an entertaining fashion.

Bottom-placed Accra Lions defeated Nations FC 1-0 at Sogakope. Young Nigerian striker Lucky Nwafor scored the only goal in the 18th minute.

Berekum Chelsea and Aduana Stars in the Bono derby played an uneventful goalless draw at the Golden City Park in Berekum.

In the battle of the newly promoted sides, Basake Holy Stars destroyed Young Apostles 3-0 with Prince Opoku and Issah Yakubu among the scorers.

Bechem United triumphed 2-0 against Legon Cities at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
