Asante Kotoko, through Micheal Tenedu’s deflected strike in the 14th minute, snatched an important 1-0 win to reclaim the top spot. Asante Kotoko drew 1-1 in the first round at Holy Stars and will take huge delight in the three points amassed at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Bibiani Gold Stars conceded a late goal against Hearts of Oak to draw 1-1 at Dun’s Park. Gideon Anaba’s 82nd-minute penalty was cancelled by Appiah Asare’s 92nd-minute strike.

Vision FC and Nations drew a disappointing goalless draw. Nations FC’s struggles continue after winning just one game in the last five matches. Both teams ended the game with 10 men.

Berekum Chelsea and Samartex also drew goalless at the Golden City Park in Berekum.

Medeama returned to winning ways with a 2-1 win over Aduana Stars at the TNA Park in Tarkwa. Goals from Mubarik Yussif and Micheal Sarpong were enough for the Tarkwa-based club.

Abdul Razak Salifu’s late goal helped Dreams FC continue their fine form. The Still Believe won 1-0 against Young Apostles to record a third straight win in the league.

Accra Lions won their first game in five with a 2-1 victory over fellow relegation-threatened side, Legon Cities. Agyemsem and Hamzata’first-half goals made the difference.

Karela came from behind to defeat Bechem United 2-1.
