. Chelsea 0-3 Manchester City

. Chelsea 0-1 Manchester United

It is four consecutive defeats for the Blues, with three at Stamford Bridge, shockingly. The club is yet to register a single goal. They have conceded eight goals. Simply put, Chelsea is falling freely, and the rot must be stopped sooner rather than later.

The Blues on Tuesday night will travel to the Amex Stadium to face Brighton & Hove Albion, where another defeat could force the club owners to think deeply about Liam Rosenior’s position as the head coach.

“I’ve had many conversations with them (owners). It’s a very direct question. I like it. They’re supporting me. They believe in me. The young manager said when quizzed about receiving any support from Chelsea’s owners.

Chelsea’s owners are well known for their ruthlessness, including the sacking of managers. Rosenior is under intense pressure to get better results to avoid losing his job.

“The reality of the situation at Chelsea Football Club [is that] we’ve lost our last four league games. That’s not good enough. So, regardless of what they believe I can achieve with the club in the long term, I need to get results now with this group,” Rosenior added.

Chelsea are now 10 points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa and are eight points behind fifth-placed Chelsea. A defeat at Brighton could end their UCL aspirations for next season.
