1st July was an important day in Ghana as Christians and Muslims gathered, prayed and gave thanks to God and Allah for bringing the nation to this level. The president, alongside Cardinal Turkson, among so many high-profile pastors across the nation, was in attendance.

Elsewhere on Channel One TV, a former NPP MP of the Subin Constituency was making a shocking analysis, which got many Ghanaians criticising him and questioning his patriotism.

“I want him [Mahama] to fail. I want my party to win the 2028 elections. I don’t want him to fail as in wishing Ghana bad, but I don’t believe the NDC can achieve much of what they’ve promised,” he said.

The former Subin MP disclosed that he doesn’t want Ghana to be in a mess, but his love for the opposition NPP is why he wants His Excellency John Dramani Mahama to fail so that people will vote against the ruling NDC.

“I have been in government, and sometimes your appointees work against your success. The issues I saw while in office—those same individuals are in the NDC. So those challenges will carry over,” Eugene Boakye revealed.

The veteran politician bemoaned how appointees disappoint the government, using his time in office as an example. He revealed that the same people who made the NPP unpopular, the same kind of people in the NDC, so he encountered the same problems the NPP encountered in the NDC.

“I don’t want Mahama to succeed—because I want the NPP to win. And in terms of managing the economy, I don’t believe the NDC has what it takes,” Boakye added.

Ghanaian Politicians care more about their parties than the nation.
