Ghanaian singer Gyakie, 25, the daughter of famous highlife singer and songwriter Nana Acheampong, has shared insights about her love life and current relationship status.
Gyakie, known for being one of the best female Afrobeat singers, discussed the change in her preference for men now compared to years back.
“Gyakie is single. Yes, I am single and searching. I don’t have a type right now, but I used to. Before, I would focus on looks and certain things I’d now call childish. But now, I look at character and everything from within, not just the outside,” she explained.
“I was going for an ex-lover but I didn’t go for it again. This is a love song. I know that people find themselves in broken-up relationships and would want to go back to the person. Sometimes you don’t have to always go back if you know it is something that would not help you or put you in a good place,” Gyakie added.
Gyakie is known for popular songs like Rent Free, Something, For My Baby, Forever and Sheege, among many top songs.
