Kuami Eugene has been one of the top Ghanaian artists in the last 8 years after releasing hit after hit songs since getting his breakthrough song, Angela. The talented singer and songwriter sings like he was trained in the Royal College of Music in the UK as he is so perfect when it comes to playing guitar, piano, drums and singing.
In an interview on Joy Prime, Eugene credited the church for everything about his success.
“Sometimes I see a post on social, somebody wants to bring something, Eugene Marfo will just pop up. I’m still a minister of God, and the transition started from the church. The church taught me every single thing that I know about how to play the piano, guitar and everything. When I was schooling, I was still doing music while I was playing drums for the church. I was still doing the music thing, but the push wasn’t there like I’m getting now,” Kuami said.
“She was a pupil teacher, and she invited me there for like a three-day convention with her church. I was Minister Eugene Marfo then. That was actually where I had my first pay, so shout out to that female friend of mine”. Eugene paid respect to his female friend whom he recognises as part of the success.
The 28-year-old Oda-born singer has earned a huge name for himself after entertaining whenever the need arises. The Afrobeat and Highlife artist is known for songs like Wish Me Well, Monica, Confusion, No More and Angela, among so many top tracks.
Kumai Eugene has collaborated with artists like Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, MzVee, Adina, Strongman, Fuse ODG, Kwesi Arthur, Mayorkun, and many others.
