The Assistant Headmaster (Academic) of KNUST Senior High School, Mr Charles Akwasi Aidoo, has reportedly been dismissed from his position by the Ghana Education Service after a video went viral on social media that depicted him in an inappropriate situation with a female student.
The assistant headmaster with a female student were captured with the teacher touching the breast of the student while the student was also seen kissing the forehead of the old man.
In the video, the girl seemed extremely delighted and was videotaping it. Many people are finding it difficult to call it sexual harassment or assault because everything points to the fact that the student was not forced.
The video has been criticized and deemed unacceptable, forcing the Ghana Education Service to react.
A statement has been released and signed by the Head of Public Relations, who is the assistant headmaster, Charles A. Aidoo, has been prohibited from visiting the school while the investigations are ongoing.
The statement indicates that the Service is dedicated to safeguarding students’ well-being and upholding standards of conduct in the teaching profession. It stated that proper procedures would be followed and any disciplinary measures would align with the Service’s code of conduct.
It is reported that the assistant headmaster has just 10 months left for his pension.
