Disappointment and anger was written all over Julen Lopetegui’s face after the disastrous 4-1 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday’s early kick off in London.

West Ham United collapsed after taking a 1-0 lead through Ghanaian forward Mohammed Kudus in the 18th minute after Jared Bowen had laid the ball exquisitely to him to smartly slot home.

Tottenham bounced back and scored four within the 42 minutes 60 to pile more pressure on West Ham United and manager Lopetegui.

Mohammed Kudus added salt to West Ham United’s injury by receiving a very poor red card after involving in an altercation with Micky van den Ven, Richarlison and Pape Matar Sarr sholving the Senegalese midfielder.

After VAR’s review, the Ghanaian was sent off much to the disappointment of his coach, Lopetegui.

The manager said after the game
“We are going to talk,” said Lopetegui. “Not today. It’s not the day to talk but he [Kudus] will be aware he can improve his actions in these moments because it is not good for him or the team.”

The Ghanaian will receive a three match ban and it will immensely affect the struggling Hammers.

Manchester United, Nottingham Forest and Everton are West Ham United’s next three games before the break.
