Kobbie Mainoo is asking for a pay rise to £180,000 a week plus bonuses to renew his contract at Manchester United.

The 19-year-old has become an integral part of the current Manchester United squad after seizing his opportunity under Erik Ten Hag.

In the last two transfer windows, the youngster has been receiving lucrative offers from rivals and is ready to stay at Manchester but wants a huge pay rise.

The Stockport-born is on 20k weekly wages, making him one of the least-paid players in the first team.

According to DM, Manchester United have held fresh contract talks with Kobbie Mainoo. Mainoo’s representatives want a pay rise to £180,000-a-week plus bonuses which will be £10M a year.

Mainoo believes that £10M salary aligns him with his teammates and reflects his status as an England regular.

Manchester United are hopeful of convincing him that his long-term future is at the club and reaching a compromise.

Ivorian youngster Amad Diallo recently signed a new contract and his salary is around £120.000 a week. Manchester United fans feel it is the reason why Mainoo is demanding a 9 times salary increment.
