Tarkwa-based club Medeama SC initially was scheduled to play ASEC Mimosas in the opening of the newly built Tarkwa-Nsueam Assembly Stadium but the plan has been cancelled.

Nonetheless, Asante Kotoko from Kumasi in the Ashanti Region will travel to Ghana’s Western Region to face Medeama SC at the newly constructed 10,400-seat TNA stadium.

The game will be played on 16th August and it will also serve as a pre-season game for both sides.

Medeama SC won the 2022-23 Ghana Premier League and with the help of the newly constructed TNA Stadium, the Tarkwa-based club is expected to mount a huge challenge in the upcoming 2024-25 season for the title.
