Black Stars and West Ham midfielder Mohammed Kudus has solidified his legacy in the nation’s football history by winning the 2024 Footballer of the Year award at the Ghana Football Awards.

This accolade marks the second year in a row that Kudus has earned this prestigious honor.

The West Ham United star faced formidable competition from fellow Ghanaians Abdul Fatawu Issahaku of Leicester City, Osman Bukari of Crvena Zvezda, and Inaki Williams of Athletic Bilbao. Despite the tough contest, Kudus emerged victorious.

Kudus’s 2023/24 season with the Hammers was exceptional. In his debut season, he netted 14 goals and provided 6 assists across 45 appearances. His influence was also felt on the European stage, where he scored an additional 5 goals, helping West Ham reach the UEFA Europa League quarter-finals.
