The magic of the MTN FA Cup was in full swing on Friday afternoon at the Tuba Astro Turf in Kokrobite as struggling Access Bank Divison One side Attram De Visser eliminated Bibiani Gold Stars on penalties after a gruelling goalless draw.

Frimpong Manso’s side, Bibiani Gold Stars were the overwhelming favourites heading into the round 16th fixture considering how good they have been in the Ghana Premier League. Attram De Visser has been so poor in Division One so their chances were slim but the unpredictability of Ghan’s FA Cup decided to visit Tuba on Friday afternoon.

Both teams failed to capitalize on the numerous chances they created to score. Gold Stars were the better side of the two in both halves of the game.

The minnows won 4-3 on penalties in a dramatic fashion with Attram De Visser’s midfielder  Apokum Richmond voted for as the man of the match. It was the first time any Premier League side has been involved in a competitive action since Pooley’s death in NMsoatre almost three weeks ago.
