The Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, 25, has expressed his excitement after securing a move to Turkish side Galatasaray soon after the Transfer Window was closed in Italy.
“The atmosphere is incredible. It’s great to be here and to see Mertens again. I spoke to him before coming here,” Osimhen said, via Corriere dello Sport.
The Napoli center forward was left devastated after his move to Chelsea in England and Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia didn’t succeed. When the transfer window was closed, many was wondering where the 25-year-old former Lille striker was going to end up.
Napoli made it clear that he was never going to be part of the team as he informed them that he wanted to try a new challenge. The club listened and replaced him so there was no space for Osimhen.
The striker secured a loan move to Turkey and revealed that he is so happy to be there.
The Turkish atmosphere is second to none in European football as fans love showing to their new signings how they admire them.
Osimhen was not exception with Gala fans meeting him with a great joy.
The Turkish giants already have Fernando Muslera, Dries Mertens, Mauro Icardi, Mitchy Batshuayi, Hakim Ziyech and Lucas Torreira as star players and have added another super star to the squad.
Buruk Ocan’s side was eliminated by BSC Young Boys in the IEFA Champions League final play-off and hence will play in the Europa League.
