Saturday, 31st January, is the day set aside for the long-awaited NPP’s flagbearer election. The opposition NPP lost in the 2024 General Election and is planning to wrestle the power in 2028 from the NDC, with preparations starting with the election to choose the main man.

Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Bryan Acheampong, Yaw Osei Adutwum, Kwabena Agyepong, and Kennedy Agyapong are set to battle for the coveted flagbearer role.

After a year long campaigns from the five candidates, all is set now for delegates to decide.

How many delegates are voting?

There are 211,849 delegates on the electoral roll due to cast their ballots at 333 polling centres in 276 constituencies nationwide, as well as at the party headquarters, with

Polls will be opened at 7 a.m. and will close at 2 p.m. By 6 pm, the winner will hopefully be declared by the overseers of the election.
