Nsoatreman will struggle for a while before many people will forgive and forget about the killing of Pooley on 2nd February at the Nana Konamansah Park in Nsoatre in week 19 of the GPL.
The league was suspended for one month and one week in the bid for stakeholders to provide a proper security measures for all and sundry at the various football grounds.
Ghana Premier League returned last Saturday but Nsoatreman played on Monday against Samartex, the defending champions.
Nsoatreman has been suspended from using their favourite home grounds, Nana Konamansah Park. They have chosen to host their games at Bibiani Gold Stars’ Dun’s Park.
On their way to their adopted venue, the club’s bus was attacked by a man with a gun at Ahafo Kukuom and was saved by a policeman who was in their bus’ intervention.
Reports say that the armed man was arrested at Kukuom and was taken to the Bibiani cells.
The club was able to make it to the venue and lost 1-0 to Samartex.
Former General Manager of the club, Eric Alagidede has revealed that the attack on the club’s bus means that Nsoatreman is not ready for the league.
“What happened means, Nsoatreman F.C is not safe travelling across the country to play in the GPL,” Alagidede opined.
The club has been panicking from the look of things after Pooley’s death at their venue.
Massive security must be provided for them or huge measures must be put in place for their safety.
