A 27-year-old man named Sylvester in Obuase Abompe, located in the Ashanti Region, is accused of killing his girlfriend after she threatened to end their relationship if he did not stop smoking excessively.
Sources report that Abena informed Sylvester that she was tired of inhaling marijuana smoke, as it was impacting her health.
The suspect, after promising to stop smoking, asked Abena for money to purchase one final joint of marijuana, but she declined.
Sylvester visited a friend who is a barber to request money for purchasing marijuana.
However, his friend declined and offered to teach him the trade so that he could earn money to support his smoking habit.
Later that evening, at approximately 10 PM, Abena was discovered deceased in Sylvester’s room.
Some neighbours report hearing three gunshots coming from the area of the suspect’s house.
He is currently evading capture as the police are searching for him.
