Okada rider found dead after being hired in Ashanti Region

An okada rider has allegedly been murdered at Tepa Asuhyea in the Ahafo Ano North municipality of the Ashanti region.

The deceased has been identified as 24-year-old Antwi Silas, also known as Paa Yaw, a resident of Tepa Subrisu.

Accra-based Rainbowradio reported that, Paa Yaw was found dead after being hired by two men around 11pm to Asuhyea.

The passengers are said to have attacked and murdered him upon getting to the Asuhyea cemetery.

The heinous crime has left residents in shock.

The dead body has since been deposited at the Tepa Government Hospital mortuary for autopsy and preservation.

The Tepa Police Command has also launched a thorough investigation into the incident to apprehend the perpetrators.
