Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk was named the Boxer of the Year by the Ring Magazine after an incredible 2024 on Saturday night at the Old Royal Naval College in London.
Dubbed the Boxing Bible, the Ring Magazine was established in 1922 and it is believed to be the most trusted source for Boxing information.
The 37-year-old Ukrainian remains unbeaten (23-0, 14 KOs), in his career and currently enjoys a stronghold over the Heavyweight division as The Ring Magazine, WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBO heavyweight champion.
Undoubtedly, Usyk’s two victories over Tyson Fury in 2024 helped him win the coveted Ring Magazine Male Boxer of the Year 2024.
The Ukrainian’s last five victories have come over Britain’s top three boxers. Twice beating Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury and a knockout victory over Daniel Dubois has made him the first undisputed champion in the last two decades in the Heavyweight division.
