Ghanaian swimmer Harry Stacey made his Olympics debut on Tuesday at the La Defense Arena in the Men’s 100M Freestyle.

In Heat 4, the Ghanaian swimmer in front of his beloved mother, Eze Stacey, finished 7th with the time of 51.12 seconds.

His performance was not enough to send him to the semi-finals but he has vowed to improve and make Ghana proud in the 2028 Olympic Games to be hosted by Los Angeles.

“It’s been learning experience after learning experience. I am actually building blocks to the future, hoping to come back for the next Olympics,” Stacey said.

“I have learnt a lot already so just looking forward to the next four years [and] training hard,” added the young swimmer.
