One feared dead, 3 injured in explosion at Obuasi

One person is feared dead with three others injured following a fire explosion at Bogobiri in the Obuasi Municipality of the Ashanti region.

According to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the incident was caused by welding activity at a garage.
Firefighters have since been deployed to the scene and are currently managing the situation.

In a statement, GNFS advised residents and motorists to avoid the affected area and use alternative routes for their safety.

“Trust our dedicated firefighters to bring the situation under control. Further updates will be provided shortly,” the statement shared on Facebook added.
