The Don Fabio Capello said, “Rodri Should easily be voted for as the Balon d’Or winner for 2024. He is not wrong in any way because Rodri is a world class midfielder and has proved that he deserves it.
The Spanish midfielder has been instrumental for English champions, Manchester City and European champions, Spain, for the last two seasons.
In an interview with ESPN, the midfielder was asked about his chances of the 2024 Balon d’Or and the former Atletico Madrid midfielder was excited to hear his name been mentioned for it.
“People on the street say I should win the Ballon d’Or,” Rodri said.
Rodrigo Cascante, 28, was voted for as the Best Player of Euro 2024. The midfielder was so sensational in Spains’s road to success. He had earlier helped Manchester City won a fourth consecutive English Premier League tiitle with good performances.
The defensive midfielder is a genuine contender for the coveted Balon d’Or award after series of consistent display for club and country.
He’s set to compete with Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham for the award.
