Players signed from other leagues to the Premier League usually find it difficult to adapt so quickly due to the physical nature of the league. Many players have struggled over the years to prove how good they are in England after securing big moves.
Some also adapt so quickly and justify the reason their clubs paid huge sums of money for their signatures.
Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush moved to Manchester City from German side Eintracht Frankfurt in the 2025 January transfer window in a deal worth €75m. The 26-year-old has hit the ground running after impressively scoring seven goals and providing one assist in 14 games in all competitions for the Citizens.
Saturday’s 5-2 win over Crystal Palace helped Manchester City occupy the 5th and final slot for the UEFA Champions after week 32. Omar Marmoush scored against Crystal Palace and accompanied it with a great performance.
Pep Gauntlett praised his new addition for his ability to adapt to the English game so quickly.
“The numbers are very impressive. Sometimes a player comes in and it’s easy to adapt, but to come in and the team isn’t playing well? That’s a huge value and a great honour,” the Spaniard manager said.
Manchester City’s season could be probably the wrost since Pep Guardiola was appointed theanager of thw club in 2016. The Citizens have struggled throughout the wntire season with Omar Marmoush expected to fill the void left by the injured perennial goalscorer Erling Haaland to help them finiah within the top 5.
