Investigation is still underway and has almost reached the final stage concerning the murder of immigration officer Stephen King Amoah by his friend Bright Aweh. The Ghana Police Service and investigators have revealed how Bright planned the demise of the late Stephen Amoah.

Bright is said to have arranged events so that his wife and co-tenant would leave the house the day he killed King, as it gave him the privacy he needed to commit the crime. Reports indicate that on the morning of the incident, Bright, who lived in a multi-story building with his wife, told her to run an errand for him.

As the main suspect, Bright also warned his upstairs neighbour, who was getting ready for work, not to come home early because he would be fumigating the house due to a ‘funny smell’ outside.

When the neighbour offered to help pay for the fumigation chemicals, Bright refused, saying he would take care of it himself.

Additionally, Bright confronted another neighbour about why their CCTV camera was aimed at his property. The neighbour claimed that the camera was broken, but later set up a 360-degree camera that recorded three motorbikes entering the house before Stephen Amoah arrived. The reason for the motorbikes remains unclear.

Stephen had told his nephew that he was going to visit Bright to collect money he was owed. He entered the house but did not come out alive. However, Bright’s car was seen leaving the property afterwards, and what it contained is unknown.

Strangely, messages were sent from Stephen’s phone on WhatsApp after the incident that read: “I have received the money; my wife is not around, so today I am going to chase girls.”

Following Bright’s arrest, another suspect named Thomas Zigah, also known as Nii Jaase, along with a third suspect, was taken into custody. Unfortunately, the third suspect has since passed away.
