Revealed: Why 23-year-old woman killed her son by pushing him into ‘Well’

Police earlier in the week arrested a 23-year-old woman for allegedly killing her four-year-old son. After disagreeing with the police, Akua Afriyie revealed that she did it, but did not give any reason why she did that.

After thorough interrogations by the Ghana Police Service, the young woman made a shocking revelation.

“Despite his 4-year-old son’s plea to spare his life, Akua Afriyie pushed him into a well to end his life to pave the way for her to marry a man she so desired.

It will be recalled that Akua Afriyie, 23, drowned his son in a well at Karlo, a community in the Suaman District of the Western North Region.

Reports indicate that the reason behind Afriyie’s action was to enable her to get the opportunity to marry a guy she so desired. The young woman who had left Karlo for some time, returned recently with her son just to kill him and become childless.

This was to make her a suitable choice for a man who wanted a lady without a child to marry. The plea of her child to spare his life initially touched her, but she later reconsidered the decision and killed him. She is currently in police custody to assist with investigations”.
