Asante Kotoko must work harder in Bibiani to bring down Gold Stars in the Champions of Champions clash on Sunday.

Bibiani Gold Stars won the 2024-25 Ghana Premier League, whilst Asante Kotoko defeated Golden Kick at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium to lift the MTN FA Cup.

The winners of these respective trophies will clash at Duns Park on Sunday to decide who indeed is the champion.

Duns Park in Bibiani has been Gold Stars’ haven, having developed a winning mentality where teams have been suffering when visiting them.

The Miners will use this game as their final preparations before the new season commences.

Frimpong Manso’s champions won the GHALCA Top 4, where they defeated the Porcupine Warriors 2-1 in a feisty clash. The same contest is expected on Sunday afternoon in Bibiani.

Asante Kotoko, on the other hand, must start turning things around after three defeats in the just-ended Top 4, where they finished bottom of the table.

Abdul Karim-Zito has already won two trophies for Kotoko and will be eager to add the Super Cup to his collection after performing abysmally in the top 4.

With the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup tough fixtures looming, both teams will use the tie as grand preparations for facing JS Kabylie of Algeria and Kwara United from Nigeria, respectively.

A great contest is expected by football fans, with the Porcupine Warriors family already complaining about their unhappiness with the venue.
