Ghana’s opponents in Group F are Angola, Sudan and Niger for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The opponents in the group on paper do not pose any huge threat to Ghana but you can never underestimate anyone.

Speaking to GFA’s official website, Otto Addo, the head coah of Ghana expressed his views on Niger.

“They don’t have a good record in their last five, six, seven, eight matches. I think they won one, played some draws and lost the other games.

“But what you can see is that, when they lost they just lost by a lone goal. So it’s going to be tough. All the other teams are finding it tough playing against Niger so it’s going to be tough for us as well. We have to be at our 100% best to beat everyone.”

Niger have qualified for the AFCON on two occasions (2013 and 2013) which were hosted by Equatorial Guinea and South Africa. They have miased the last 5 AFCON’s which shows that they are huge minnows.

Ghana will expect to top the Group in the qualifiers in a bid to build momentum for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and the finals of the 2025 AFCON to be played in Morocco.
