Thomas Tuchel: “I want to win the 2026 FIFA World Cup for England”

Tuchel’s mission is clear: to win the 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅 𝑪𝒖𝒑!

The German tactician was confirmed as the English head coach and will be around until July 2026.

Lee Carsely said the English vacant head coach role needs a winner and Thomas Tuchel in recent years has proven to be a winner after an immense success with Chelsea culminating in a UCL title triumph.

“I’m proud to be here, I’m proud to represent England… and I want to put the 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫 on this shirt in 2026”, Tuchel said.

The ex-PSG head coach expressed his delight in the opportunity of replacing Gareth Southgate.

“So we will work hard for the biggest target in football, 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐞 at the World Cup 2026”.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be played across the USA, Mexico and Canada and Tuchel is already eyeing the trophy albeit European qualifeirs is yet to commence.

“I am very proud to lead the England team. I have long felt a personal connection to the game in this country, and it has given me some incredible moments already. To represent England is a 𝐡𝐮𝐠𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 for me.

“Once the legend Pele said that Wembley is the heart, capital, cathedral of football. He was absolutely right”.

His first major test will be to qualify England to the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
