Paris Saint-Germain was five steps ahead of Inter Milan in the finals in Germany. Luis Enrique’s side was all over the Italians from the commencement of the game to the end. The Parisians proved why they conquered all the top performers in England en route to the finals. PSG’s good start paid off when Moroccan international Achraf tapped in an accurate pass from Desire Doue after displaying a great vision to put the French side ahead in the 12th minute.

Ousmane Dembele, who led an incredible counterattack, set up Doue, whose shot deflected Di Marco and made it 2-0 in the 20th minute. It was a case of how Inter Milan reacted after being outclassed in just minutes of action.

Inter’s first real attack was when Acerbi headed wide Cahanoglu’s corner in the 23rd minute. Thuram’s header from Cahanoglu’s corner in the 27th minute missed the net by an inch. Inter started moving higher up the pitch because they needed a goal to motivate themselves.

Osmane Dembele had the opportunity to finish the tie for PSG, but instead wasted a huge opportunity inside the penalty area by unleashing a powerful first-time volley towards goal that went well wide of the left post. The PSG ended the first half having completely dominated the experienced Inter Milan side.

The second half got underway with Kvaraskhelia nearly scoring in the first minute for PSG. In the 51st minute, the Georgian’s rebound went a whisker wide off the left post. Inter were still under pressure because they had no antidote to PSG’s ultimate pressing. Doue added finally the much-awaited third goal in the 63rd minute after Vitinha had played him unmarked in the box. Dembele provided his second assist by teeing up Kvaraskhelia inside the box in the 73rd minute, who curled the ball past Sommer to make it 4-0.

Substitute Bracola failed to round up the night twice for PSG after missing two glorious opportunities. 19-year-old Senny Mayula showed off a super ability as he volleyed the ball inside the box onto the left post and ended in the back of the net to make it 5-0 in favour of PSG with four minutes to end the game.

PSG became the first French side since Marseille won the competition in 1993 to lift the UCL.
