Ghana is in a very good position to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, especially now that their competitors are to host their home games in Morocco because they don’t have CAF-standard venues.

Comoros are on top of Group I with Ghana occupying second place as Madagascar sits third. Both Comoros and Madagascar will play their home games away from their countries giving Ghana a huge advantage.

Ahead of Ghana’s rounds 5 and 6 fixtures against Chad and Madagascar, Nations FC’s centre-back Razak Simpson has assured Ghanaians of a place in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

‘For me, we have amazing and quality players there. It is based on tactics and everything, whatever the coaches decide. We are 1000 % confident we are going to qualify. We are going to put in our best, and qualify,” Razak Simpson said in an interview with 3 Sports.

The Nations FC’s skipper is probably the best centre-back in the Ghana Premier League and he is little by little becoming part of the Black Stars. In the October and November 2024 international breaks, Simpson was part of the Black Stars squad.

He is expected to play a very crucial role when Ghana hosts Chad next Friday and visit Morocco for the Madagascar game four days later.
