Yamoah Ponko was a huge figure in the opposition National Democratic Congress as well as Asante Kotoko.

Popularly known by many as Wofa Yaw, the veteran politician died at age 62 after suffering stroke for the last 18 months. The former Asante Kotoko management member passed away on Sunday.

The club extended their deep condolences to the late Yamoah Ponko’s family and revealed he will never be forgotten.

He is regarded as one of the most passionate fans of the club in recent years.
