Prophet J.Y. Adu of New Jerusalem Chapel in Kumasi has disclosed that Yaw Sarpong’s children appropriated a car intended for their father for their mother’s use.

He revealed that Nana Kobo had purchased a car for Yaw Sarpong to use for musical events and travel after his car was damaged in an accident.

However, Sarpong’s children decided to give the car to their mother instead of their father, disregarding his difficult situation.

In an interview with Neat FM, J.Y. Adu expressed concern about Yaw Sarpong having to rely on taxis for transportation, especially given his condition.

“A physician friend conducted a medical examination on him and recommended occasional medical check-ups. Tiwaa accompanies him [Yaw Sapong] to the hospital. After Sarpong’s car was wrecked, they used taxis for musical concerts.

“Nana Kobo then bought a car for Yaw and Tiwaa to use for concerts, but the children gave it to their mother, who used it for funerals and errands, leaving them to use taxis for hospital visits,” he explained.

This revelation raised questions about the lack of support from Yaw Sarpong’s children during his illness.

Prophet J.Y. Adu clarified that Yaw Sarpong is under his care because his illness is believed to be spiritual rather than medical, with doctors unable to successfully treat the condition.

Yaw Sarpong has been battling a stroke, with hopes for a full recovery to continue his ministry.
