Ghanaian giants Kumasi Asante Kotoko sent their condolences to Portuguese brothers Diogo Jota and Andre Silva, who tragically passed away after their Lamborghini caught fire and burned to ashes when they tried to overtake a car in Spain at 12:30 am on early Thursday morning.

His death has shocked the football world, with tributes paid across the length and breadth of the world. In West Africa, Ghanaian super club Asante Kotoko sent their condolences via their X wall, expressing their heartbreak concerning the demise of the 28-year-old Liverpool and Portugal forward.

“We at Asante Kotoko extend our deepest condolences to the families of Diogo Jota and his brother André Silva, and to everyone at Liverpool FC during this heartbreaking time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May their souls rest in peace”, the club wrote.

Liverpool has asked for privacy for the family of the late Jota and his brother.
