“The Fisherman” tells the story of Atta Oko, a seasoned Ghanaian fisherman who teams up with a talking fish and three young individuals to secure a loan and buy their own boat.
Atta Oko, played by Ricky Adelayitor, has always dreamed of becoming the boat chief of his town, but his aspirations are dashed when the mantle is given to the arrogant son of the outgoing chief, played by Fred Amugi.
The film explores themes of resilience, community, and the complexities of traditional and modern ways of life.
