Kessben Media has suspended one of its staff members, Kojo Adu, professionally known as DJ KA, following the circulation of an alleged sex video on social media.
In a statement issued on Friday, the media organization said it had become aware of the video, which it described as involving a staff member in a sexually compromising situation. The company stressed that it does not condone the actions depicted in the video or the circulation of such material.
“The Management of Kessben Media wants to state clearly that the company does not condone such acts, the actions of the staff member, and the circulation of the material in any form,” the statement said.
Kessben Media said it remains committed to the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, respect, and ethical conduct, adding that it has instituted an internal investigation to establish the full facts surrounding the incident.
Pending the outcome of the inquiry, DJ KA has been directed to stay off duty and cooperate with the investigation.
The company also disclosed that the staff member would be offered counseling, rehabilitation, and legal assistance where necessary to help him cope with the trauma arising from the incident.
Kessben Media appealed to the public to refrain from sharing or distributing the alleged sex video, citing its sensitive nature as well as Ghana’s cyber security laws relating to the possession and circulation of such content.
The company further urged the media to exercise restraint in discussing the matter and to avoid unnecessarily associating the Kessben Media brand with the incident.
Kessben Media assured the public that it would not shield anyone found to have been complicit and said the outcome of the internal investigation would determine its next course of action.
