Week 4 of the Ghana Premeir League will continue on Sunday with Asante Kotoko visiting Berekum Chelsea in what promises to be a cagey affair.

Samuel Boadu who managed Accra Hearts of Oak will renew his rivalry with Prosper Ogum as the two head coaches have always proven to be among the creme de la creme of the Ghanaian game.

Fabulous has not beaten Berekum Chelsea in the GPL in Berekum since 2010. This record makes the tie a difficult one for Fabulous.

Brrekum Chelsea sits 7th after winning one and drawing one of the two games played so far. Afriyie Mezack has proven to be the man to lead the Bibire alongside Stephen Amankonah. The duo scored in the 2-1 victory over the Porcupine Warriors in Week 30 of the 2023-24 season hence Kotoko’s defence must monitor them well.

Asante Kotoko’s defenders; Lord Amoah, Henry Ansu and Patrick Asiedu are returning to their old stompey grounds to face their old club. Sudanese left back Esmat Abdalhamid Hassabalbagi will miss the crucial trip due to an injury he sustained in Obuasi.

Prosper Nartey’s side sits sixth after disappointingly drawing 1-1 against Young Apostles at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium in Week 3 and a win is expected from the fans.

Games between the two sides have been fiercely contested since Berekum Chelsea became regulars of the Ghana Premier League.

Expect another cracker in Berekum on Sunday afternoon.
