“Taking Over” became an instant hit in Ghana when Shatta Wale released it in 2017. Shatta Wale featured Joint 77, Addi Self and Captan.

The song announced the talents of some of the SM Militants as Addi Self made a huge name for himself.

The trio have departed the SM family, and they have been occasionally seen in a public spat with their boss, Shatta Wale, on Social Media.

Addi Self has told Ghanaians that they must stop interfering in their little quarrels with the SM president, Shatta Wale because he still is a father to them.

“If we get issues with Shatta Wale, don’t say some because it is father & son affair” – Addi Self.

Addi Self has not been heard of in the music industry since departing from Shatta Wale’s camp.
