Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has named a preliminary squad for South Africa to face Uganda and South Sudan in the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in September 2024.

The 38-man-squad includes Mamelodi Sundowns’ goalkeeper Ronwen Williams.

The Brazillians’ contingents of Thapelo Morena, Aubrey Modiba, Grant Kekana, Khuliso Mudau, Terrence Mashego, Teboho Mokoena, Aubas, Themba Zwane and Iqraam Rayners are included.

Al Ahly’s Percy Tau, Burnley’s Lyle Foster, and Orlando Pirates’ Evidence Makgopa are all part of the team.

South Africa will commence the 2025 AFCON journey with a home fixture against Uganda and travel to South Sudan to face the minnows.
