Bukayo Ayoyinka Temidayo Saka is his full name. The 22-year-old was born in Ealing in England to
Nigerian parents, Adenike and Yomi Saka who both originate from the Yoruba Ethnic group.

The youngster is a super star as he is an integral part of Arsenal and England national team.

In an interview with the BBC, Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka discussed his Nigerian heritage and the significance of his Yoruba name. He explained that his name means “added joy” and believes his grandmother gave it to him.

He added, “the name means a lot to me”.

“Added Joy”, the 22-year-old is indeed giving Arsenal fans great joy although they are yet to reach the promised land.

He has been a regular for Arsenal for the last three seasons and the Gunners will wish the youngster will be able to help them win their first EPL title in 21 years with the 2024-25 season less than a month to start.
